pps為一種白色粉末，平均分子量為0.4-0.5萬，密度為1.3-1.8克每立方厘米，pps有十分優(yōu)異的熱性能。

PPS塑料:改性后的pps能在長期工作負(fù)荷和熱負(fù)荷的作用下保持高的力學(xué)性能和尺寸穩(wěn)定性，因而可應(yīng)用于溫度高的受力環(huán)境中。

pps的介電常數(shù)很小，介電損耗相當(dāng)?shù)�，表面電阻率和體積電阻率對頻率、溫度、濕度的變化不敏感，是優(yōu)良的電絕緣材料，它的耐電弧時間也較長.

PPS是美國菲利普斯公司于1971年首先實現(xiàn)工業(yè)化生產(chǎn)的，專利到期后，日本的企業(yè)也開始研發(fā)和生產(chǎn)。
